Hey Vlad--can you give me an example of those landing pages that require sign-ups? how do they look like and how to create one? I notice that your bahayremata website has a pop-up requiring contact information before we can view the foreclosed properties for sale. I think that's a nifty strategy. Am planning to invest in low-budget, ppc facebook ads by next year so I can use all the advice you can give :) Thanks Vlad! Good luck Nel!

Technically, the best site for products and services promotion is definitely Facebook. No other site can match its broad scope and niche'd markets with the information it possesses on the interests of individuals. Like what Vlad said you can advertise via a pay per click way. So that means you'll only pay the cost of your advertisement for person that clicks on your ad. What's great is that it's for every budget as well. You can choose to spend as minimal as a dollar (or even less) a day on your advertising. Multiply on the other hand is more specialized in online stores. It has its own community of entrepreneurs whom help each other out. Multiply also has its own version of e-commerce which is pretty helpful as well. I would say that if you're selling products it would be good to setup your own online store on Multiply. I know Sitezapp.com also has e-commerce solutions that gives you your own website as well. Good luck with your ventures Nel! Keep us posted on any developments. Happy Holidays!

I'd say it depends on your target market: Multiply is good for sourcing and meeting fellow entrepreneurs while Facebook caters to a more general audience. If you're planning to sell on FB, I suggest using pay-per-click advertising; it's an excellent way to get hundreds of leads if you know how to find your customers and how to create catchy taglines and marketing copy. Of course, you should utilize landing pages requiring sign-ups if you want to maximize your chances of keeping in touch with your interested "clickers." Hope this helps. @Estelle - What you saw in my bahayremata website is an example of a landing page. Admittedly, it's not too eye-catching (I didn't create it myself) but the point is it requires a decision on the part of the viewer whether to sign up or not. That by itself serves to prescreen potential buyers; however, it also allows you to stay in touch with your captive audience because you can now create a mailing list to send newsletters/follow-up emails to. Free landing pages are easy to do; I use Google sites most often but Weebly or any of the other drag-and-drop website creation sites would do just as well. Landing pages can also stand on their own though you can use the Forms creator of Google docs  to automatically lead to a confirmation page. Another strategy is to lead readers directly to a product page (advisable only for very irresistable products). Sorry for the long answer; I think this topic deserves its own thread :)
