Open Question

How to determine the salary/wage of your employees?

I'm sure a lot of people here have their own business right? The truth is I need your help, I am assigned to do the part of our feasibility where each employee  have the right amount of salary from the General manager up to the janitors. I'm totally clueless about this, who will decide on how much they will get? Please help me....Thank you!!

Hi Frela! There is a salary "chart" at jobstreet.com.ph which may help you. Using the data on jobstreet.com.ph, they usually give the minimum average salary, the median, and the high salary average for a particular job. They don't have one for all jobs, but they should have one for the general manager, etc. Just search for it on the site and it should help you out. Alternately, look at job postings to see what they are offering for positions in real life. Hope that helps!

Hi Frela, Here's a couple of links I found that might be useful for you: http://smallbusiness.chron.com/determine-proper-pay-scale-employees-11259.html http://www.microsoft.com/business/en-us/resources/management/pay-benefits/5-steps-for-determining-an-employees-salary.aspx?fbid=Kw71W_ZKHBL#stepsfordetermininganemployeessalary http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-set-a-salary-scale-for-your-employees.html Personally, a lot of what your wages will be on how much the industry standard is and how much budget your company has. If your company is a startup you could be creative and give equity or shares to your employees that are vital to the progress of the company. Hope that helps. If not PM me and we could discuss it some more. :)
